3rd World countries need assistance to preserve the environment and improve the quality of life for present and future generations.
Hope House endeavours to implement this vision through 3 main projects presently running:
ASA FIN PROJECT
A young and zealous bunch of surfers have been trained to hand carve wooden surf fins. Once carved, they are sent to Mauritius, finished and marketed. Not only creating an income stream for these young surfers, but also creating an eco friendly surf fin that is kind to the environment, is the outcome of this project.
FACE 2 FACE IN MADA
MEDICAL FUNDING
Hope House partners with Centre Medicale in Fort Dauphin, funding medical care to patients who are unable to pay. The program serves mainly, but not solely, to treat patients needing malaria testing and treatment, TB treatment and gastro infections. Without Doctor Jane and her team onsite at the clinic, this program would be impossible. Our funders who power this project are invaluable to us reaching out to the ones who would suffer and die without care.
JOB CREATION
Being able to work and earn is one of the key factors in reducing poverty. Hope House has, with the partnership of individuals in Fort Dauphin, created work for the young men of this town.
