From Wheelchair to Workshop: A Life Without Limits

Jean Marie lives life in a wheelchair, but his world is anything but limited....

With steady hands and a quiet focus, he transforms recycled wood into something beautiful, hand-carved heart and fish magnets and keyrings, each one shaped with care and intention. What could have been discarded becomes something meaningful, something to keep.

Through a collaboration between Lulu, a retail boutique that specializes in “locally made” and Hope House, Jean Marie is not just creating products , he’s building purpose, independence, and pride in his craft.

His attention to detail is remarkable, but it’s his joy in the process that truly stands out. Every piece carries a bit of that joy with it.

And that’s what makes them so special.
